Translational Informatics Program
Program Purpose
The Translational Informatics Program (TIP) focuses on developing innovative informatics solutions that address major barriers to effective CTR research both at Stanford and across the national clinical research enterprise. These solutions include:
- communication and collaboration between researchers
- access to clinical data for research purposes
- linkage of heterogeneous biomedical data sets
- availability of standards-based research data management services
- knowledge of informatics standards and methodologies
- interoperability of biomedical information systems
- access to high-performance super-computing resources
- delivery of new evidence-based knowledge into patient care
